A new start

In recent years, it has been difficult to keep Strays of Alanya up and running. Like all other rescues, we have experienced first the pandemic and later the global economy that has gone downhill.
In addition, in Turkey we have had major changes in laws regarding stray animals and immigration. I see why the laws have come about, but it has caused most rescues huge problems.
For us, it has meant extremely poor finances and almost no volunteer helpers. Mehmet and I have both worn ourselves out, which has led to my total collapse and Mehmet has resigned from June.
But in our darkest hour, a saving angel was sent our way with many ideas and courage. I get time and positivity to heal and things are starting to flow in the shelter.
Our angel is Anita and she is keeping morale up now while I am away and there is a chance that we will be able to keep Mehmet. I hope and pray for that because honestly, we will not be able to run the shelter without him.
So I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I try to find new ways to get donations.
But now it's past midnight and I'm going to bed now.
Good night to you all‼️
